This site in other languages x.Fresh installed windows 10 and when I plug my sennheiser game zero headset in the 3. I have tried talking right after a complete wipe install with usb and no drivers and have also tried after installing the mobo drivers Gigabyte XUP4.

I have an odd problem where all the stock windows sounds are distorted as if they are being unnecessarily amplified. All other sounds, such as videos, music, movies, etc, are all completely fine. I've tried looking through the windows sounds area, looking at the device properties, and also at the 2 different volume control areas with no luck.

Anyway, i can see anyplace where the windows sounds are being amplified. Ever since I have upgraded to Windows 10 I have lost pretty much all of my bass in my headphones and my microphone now sounds like a robot to a point that you are not even able to make out what I am saying. I have a Realtek audio card and I have tried playing with all of the settings. It recognizes everything as being plugged in as well.

Is there anyway that I can "remaster" sounds on my pc. By "remaster" I mean I've seen some digital music amps with this feature and i was wondering if this is also possible on the pc. I want this for several sounds ,not just songs. If you look in C:WindowsMedia, there seems to be some sounds that were created for Windows Like Windows Logon. Did Microsoft scrap these sounds? For some reason, the option to choose a Log on or Log Off sound doesn't exist in the "Sounds" settings in the Control Panel.

I use a lot of custom sounds on my computer, they are all saved in. Up to this build of Windows 10TP they have worked. But since updating to version they don't work anymore. I can play them from the folder they are in, but if I try and add them to Windows Sounds through the Sounds control panel the icons turn yellow and they won't play.

This may go along with Cortana not talking in this version, and I've found that the Text to Speech function in this version of Windows 10 doesn't function either. I think I have determined what events are being triggered by changing each notification sound in turn to a distinctive chime that is not used elsewhere. The two events concerned are "Device Connect" and "Device Disconnect". Strangely I seem to receive many more disconnect notifications than connects. The sounds spoil my enjoyment when listening to music or watching movies etc.

I am connected to a home network but I'm connected via ethernet cable and am not attaching or detaching any other equipment when the sounds occur. Is there any way to show the reason for these notifications? I've had Windows 10 since August, and for the most part, things have been going relatively okay. My only real glaring problem with the OS is that I can no longer here a sound during a system event. By that I mean the usual sounds like when you're clicking through the Explorer, emptying the recycle bin, a dialog pop-up and such.

The sound in general works fine; like media players, games, and through the Internet browsers. It's only the system sounds that refuse to play. All other volume settings seem to stick.

Sometimes after a restart but not every timesometimes in the middle of a Windows session. Is this a known Win10 bug? In Windows 10, the same problem persists. Interestingly enough, under the C:WindowsMedia folder, there is a file called "Windows Logon" which is a brand new sound from Windows 8, also in I have headphones set as my Default Communication Device, speakers as my Default Device and when communication activity is detected, all other sounds are set to mute.

I was using my microphone with no problems or static in windows 7, crystal clear sound.

This issue started to happen last week, most likely because I installed windows The microphone is making an horrible static, and my voice heavily distorted and robotic, what I'm saying is barely understandable. They didn't work either, same static noise.

This is extremely annoying because I can't talk to my friends, and it bothers me that apparently there isn't a single reason why shouldn't it work.

Now, no matter what mic I use I've tried 4 with usb and aux cables I get a really annoying crackly robotic sound Audacity and Sony Vegas record it fine but the windows sound recorder and screen capture software causes this to happen. It doesn't happen whilst I'm using dxtory and recording games either :S Could someone please tell me what the heck is going on? Nerumph Estimable. Apr 15, 32 0 4, 7.

No difference on the different outlet I'm afraid, no better and no worse. I'm gonna put it down to a PSU or soundcard problem Different driver versions seemed to make it worse instead of better sooo. You may be buffering due to over-taxation of your CPU.

Nerumph :.They could be improved in regard to size, weight and runtime, which are all aspects where a brushless motor upgrade might be able to help. There could be challenges in improving runtime, as well as reducing tool size and weight, without diminishing peak power output. Cost is another potential issue. My only qualm is battery life, and the 4. Jason saysAug 9, 2013 at 5:19 pmDewalt should have pushed the changer over from stem-pack to slide packs sooner it should have been 2-3 years before the actual 20v line release.

I really think they should have made stem pack to slide pack adapters. Jason saysAug 9, 2013 at 5:07 pmI think it might be awhile before we see an update on the premium drill.

Mic Sounds Like A Robot

The market has been pushing for lighter tools with better run time. I had that Dewalt Premium drill for awhile before I jumped on the Fuel bandwagon that drill is just so big and heavy. I think we might even see Milwaukee release a compact Fuel drill like the Dewalt brushless that is out now if you look at the Dewalt compact brushless drill and Fuel drill side by side the Dewalt looks tiny next to it and its a good pound lighter than the M18 fuel. I like Milwaukee and they seem to update their tools quicker than Dewalt has been we should see the Brushless saws on the store shelves soon.

Marketing and strategy considerations for not creating an adapter aside, it seems easier for Dewalt to design the current generation of tools around the current generation of battery packs. The 20V Max tools were designed, or at least redesigned, solely around Li-ion battery packs. The only reason I mentioned it is if they had an adapter people have been like hey this makes sense I can keep my old tools and move on to the new and better stuff Dewalt is offering.

Now having that cut off may make a person think it might make more sense to sell my old kit and see what the other tool brands are offering. Your are right no other company did make an adapter either during their transition from stem packs either.

We might not be having this conversation if Dewalt had done their conversion closer to when the other brands made the switch. It would be easy to play it off as everyone is doing it. I guess its like the old saying you either rip the band aid of really quick or really slow.

Especially in this economy, a lot of workers are not upgrading to the latest and greatest.
